Neil Brown is an Accountant by profession and has over 25 years’ experience working with a variety of businesses including Banking, State Agencies, Manufacturing, Distribution, Automotive, Agricultural, Retail and the Services sector.

During his career in private practice he spent over 15 years in Corporate Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Insolvency & Restructuring working on a variety of transactions for leading accountancy firms including BDO, Baker Tilly and Mazars.

He also founded his own business providing third party corporate services to multinational companies operating in Ireland including IBM, Intel, The European Commission, Vodafone, Cisco Systems and O2. He subsequently sold this business to US Nasdaq quoted Bright Horizons Family Solutions and remained on as Country Manager until 2009.

During his tenure, the company was voted on three occasions as one of the Top 50 Best Companies to work for in Ireland.

During the past six years, he has been Founder and Director of BlackRock Consulting which provides specialist advisory services in the areas of Business Sales, Valuations, Acquisitions, Management Consulting, Corporate Restructuring and Management Buy Outs/In. His clients among others have included Sentient Management, Kavanagh Fennell Insolvency, National Asset Management Agency (NAMA) and numerous Small and Medium Enterprises.

He currently serves on the board of Accounting Technicians Ireland, GlycoSelect Ltd and has previously served on the Boards of
Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Chamber of Commerce and Early Childhood Ireland.

He is also a member of the Institute of Directors in Ireland and currently serves on the mentor panel for Fingal Local Enterprise Office in Dublin.
